    In Daddy's Arms

I miss your loving arms each day,
Since God took you home to stay
Three years have gone by ,
Since I was left behind to cry,

Not enough time to say the things I needed to say
I feel so lonesome since you went away
I miss your loving arms that held me tight,
When I was young and afraid in the night,

Daddy’s arms ,made me feel so safe and loved
Till the day he was taken to the Heavens above
Days are short nights are long since you were laid to rest
Peace, containment, you now feel, that you are at your best

I feel you in my heart and in my soul
Wondering how things are? Now that you are whole
No more sadness, pain now that you are in Heaven
With all the beauty and its glory,
Someday when we are all together,
You will be able to tell me your favorite story!

I LOVE ALL OF YOUR POEMS AND I HAVE READ EACH ONE. THEY ARE ALL SO WONDERFUL. THIS ONE REALLY TOUCHED ME AS MY DADDY WAS TAKEN FROM ME WHEN I WAS 6 YRS OLD.HE HAD SUFFERED FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND HAD BEEN TO MANY MANY DOCTORS BUT BY THE TIME THEY FOUND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG AND HAD HIM PREPARED FOR SURGERY IT WAS TO LATE

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
