    incarcerated

its just me and the cell bars,
     thinking about my crime,
     nothing to do ,
and alls i got is time

    caged up like a dog,
     thinking about life,
how badly i want some fresh air,
and how much i miss my whife.

    i remember pullin the trigger,
    and my target was destroyed,
    i got 25 to life,
cus i also hit a little boy.

it was something i had to do,
our rival gang up in our hood,
    five bullets shot,
pullin that trigger felt so good.

    a family destroyed,
     a babys life taken,
he wasnt saposed to get hit,
     god was mistaken.

    i just gotta stay strong,
prison aint the place to get tender,
    the people thats after me,
    is of the same gender

    i get my life together,
and i just gotta do ma time,
     learn from my mistakes,
i dont wanna live a life of crime.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
