Innocence Died Part 2
I’ve seen the damage caused,
When innocence is brutally take.
Ripped out of your soul
As if it were nothing.
Completely exposed everything that,
You once held true, now forsaken.
I tried to wipe away the tears,
Of the girl crying in the corner.
The tears could be wiped away,
Or would eventually dry up.
But never her fears.
A once happy, carefree pure heart,
Disappeared in a moment,
Never to return.
She try’s to resume her life,
But the memories keep tearing her apart.
Nightmares plague her at night.
There is hardly any sleep for this poor soul.
For she cannot keep the demons at bay.
But when she awakes the real challenge,
Is to be able to make it through
Yet another horrifying day.
In her late teens, she’s given up
On all and every one of her dreams and hopes.
The battle within her has waged for too many years.
She is armed with no tools,
With which to have ever taught her how to cope.
When her innocence was taken from her,
It left her empty inside.
Stripped away of everything,
That she ever knew to be safe.
She was just a little girl,
And was left with no where left to hide.
By adulthood, there is no more light.
She could no longer endure this strife.
Still after all these years, that little girl crying in the corner.
She decides there is nothing left to do,
But to take her own life.
When innocence is brutally take.
Ripped out of your soul
As if it were nothing.
