It Will Be Summer Soon

It Will Be Summer Soon

She says to me, “It will be summer soon,

The new sun will turn about any day.

We will be greeted by a brand new moon,

And lo! the sky above won’t be so gray

The cold of endless winter will be gone

And all the glory, summer here will bring

The sorrow and the heartbreak stands in none

So hold out darling, let us get through spring

The warmth of summer’s joy shall touch us all

And give the most forlorn a shred of hope

Behold! The breath of life will stand up tall

Against the pain and hurt with which we cope

The summer that will come will end our sorrow,

So with this kiss I give hope for tomorrow.
