I've seen it

23 years I've seen it come and go like the wind blows-uptowns to timbos. I've seen it.

From holding stacks of grands from packs of grams. I've seen it.

From having to wear the same clothes-huslin-but as the sayin goes-only as old as the day grows-fighting just to say no. I've seen it.

From being a twinkle in an eye-to havin these two eyes looking back watching the old you die-said I'd foreva ride but got off as a better guy. I've seen it.

From users to pushers-pimps down to hookas found Christ an he took'em. I've seen it.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
