    Journey

I began my journey a long time ago
I began to walk down a dark and lonely road.
I came to the cross roads, deciding to look ahead continuing my journey, not much left to be said.
I came upon a forrest of which I walked through, crossed a mighty ocean but continued a foward move.
I climbed the highest mountain, came down the other side, where I walked the silant valley and I began to cry.
I look up ahead and there I see, an old wooden bridge facing me. I continued on my journey across the bridge I walked, now is the time for soul searching and a serious talk with the heart...
Do I burn this bridge and leave all things behind or do I leave it standing and give it one more try?

Me -- I've always been for burning the bridge. Already know what's back that way in if it wasn't worth staying there in the first place, there's no sense in going back. But that's just me...nice imagery and poem.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
