    Jurassic

Mornings are usually like that, groggy and pleasantly hazy,

But you woke me up today with the most charming and
    frightful of noises,

An ancient horn, desperate battle cry of the savage,
But clearly too primal at its core to be man made,
This was some beast, some creature, but nothing I had either ever seen or heard of, and it was outside my window,

Names and images came flooding into my head, Brachyceratops with its imposing horn,
Ceratosaurous king of the lizard like, Astrodon...

equal parts excited and terrified..I go towards my window not really knowing what I believed I would find,

And there it was, not an ancient beast resurrected but a giant crane, maneuvering in reverse,

A man at its helm controlling it, who from here looked pitiably tiny, like Fred, Mr Flinstone,
    Preparing for his lunch break.

I like it. it is full of imagination, and creativity. great job! keep it up

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
