    Leak

    It seeps.....
It leaks and drains away, escaping the very basin it was made for.
I have found no cure. No caulking nor glue or old wives remedy to seal it in.
So I struggle, struggle to maintain. Hasten my step to fill, pouring in as much of any mixture I may. Praying to at the least the very least preserve the level it is currently at.
Yet the more I work at this it seems the faster it begins to drip.
It's leaking.... seeming miniscule and unthreatening.
But there is a fracture and it's through this opening that I am losing it.
My mind has found a way to leave me and everyday I feel the loss.
The reality I once knew to be filled with scholars and intellects, has begun to blur and mix with the mundane.
At a time I had found sheperds now all i find is sheep, and all the while it's leaving me.
    I just don't understand!
Where in my life did I do such a wrong to deserve this punishment?
Who or what did i abuse to begin to lose the one tool worth keeping in the shed?
    HELP MEEEEEEEE...........
A cry heard only by it's own echo.
Thoughts have begun to cruise through the empty space looking to exploit the crack.
" Space 4 Rent" Reads the sign left by reason and I tremble to think what may occupy it next!

pathos is the handmaiden to creativity/empathy. I really like this poem! the feeling doesn't seem to leave with age, nothing you can "grow through", but in a pendulum kind of way, it can be taught to direct itself, even if mundane, to sharoen your pen. it's like a headache: sometimes embracing it is the best cure. keep on writing, you are heard. (note...shepHerd sp.)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
