Life Boat

Poem Commentary

I wrote this for my english class

Life Boat

Once I sat down
In the depths of this valley
As the floods of
Emotion filled it's gap

I drowned in these floods
Deep into comatose I fell
To awaken and find myself
On a life boat with you

This dingy little raft
And the things
You brought on it were the things
That saved me from drowning

I was a sinking Titanic
Crashed on an ice-burg I created
And you were my life boat
Always floating
