Life: Center Stage

(LIFE .. . Center Stage)

Upon the passing of time,

I didn’t know it could be,

An opportunity so grand,

To set a foot on stage . . . .its me(smiles).

The responsibility is so great,

To run a leading role,

To be a shining Star,

In a production of Life to go.

The magical light and fireworks,

From dynamic sight and sound,

To find my inner self,

In a production so profound.

Will I forget my lines,

Can I raise my voice to sing,

The stress of vast oppression,

To a gentle meekness, a tear of joy to bring.

Line bay line and day by day,

I’ll give the best I can,

It matters not a talent to spot,

But really just who I am.

me again...last stanza line by line not bay I assume. I'll try not to be critical in all of your poems. I really liked this one. The sense of life as just a stage production in which we have ultimate control, and yet unsure if we will goof it up.

Wow, I knew that you would have some good stuff!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
