Life of a Hockey Puck
Gliding across the shining surface of the arena,
I realize my importance in life is great.
I am the most popular person in sight,
it has to be true, everyone is after me.
I decide the winner of the game,
and sometimes provide a moment of happiness for the loser.
When others have to sit on the bench to regain their strength,
I am able to continue playing in the game without breaking a sweat.
While the cameras sometimes show others,
They are always trying to focus on me.
During halftime, everyone else has to go to a meeting,
while I get to lounge and wrap up in a blanket, and relax.
I am the life of the game,
and everyone wants to be around me.
I am a hockey puck. There is no greater game.
