Poem Commentary

this poem is mainly about me and my goth/outcast friends at school. it shows how much we dont like being called a Freak when you dont even know us and what also makes me mad is even though i wear all black im not a mean person just people are afraid to talk to me/the outcasts all cuz of how we look and not on how we act

Lonely people

A hurt
A lie
A teary eye
They want to be dead.
But they are still living.
You think that they have no feelings.
But thats a lie.
To feel the need to cut.
Then possibly cry.
Their life is a living hell.
But there isnt a reason, for them to tell.
They are silent.
For they dont like to talk.
All you see is black when they walk.
A dark pathway is opening when you mean to them.
They are often called freak or wierd.
But the just shrug it off.
But the true thing is they are just like you.
Even though we dress differently.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
