Lost

Don’t ever expect straight answers from me
I cannot give them.
I’ll tell you what I can-The way I can.
And if I speak in riddles,
Don’t begrudge me.
For it’s not intentionally.
I too am trying to understand and see
Through the riddles of my life.
If you can see the answers in-between the lines
Read them aloud.
I’d like to know them too.
Don’t take this as a cry for help
It’s not meant to be.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
