Love and War, Nevermore
In his heart he shall find what he did not find within its time.
As a broken key in the song of love, it does not rhyme.
It is sadly so that he was slain
For in his boldness there was pain
'Are we not crowned kings of men left on the dirt of the king's ray?'
He questioned with great dismay.
From respect the conqueror spake,
'Your rage shall be known as a gift from heaven'
'Your words of love shall be remembered as milk spoken from a god.'
'Know rest your rage in its safe haven.'
'Trust, I conqueror of you—I ordain it with this rod!'
And the conquered spake,
I fought for love and lost.
There shall be no mercy for my sin.
Father, please, forget the sin of my past.
Let this lesson be remember by my kin.
Love and war, nevermore!
