love is gone
Something I can’t explain
Something no one will ever comprehend
How over the days, months and years
My love for you will never descend…
Down from my heart, to the bottom of my toes
Sadly it continues to grow and grow
And each time it grows, the pain only begins to increase
Because the true love that I possess wont seem to flee
I remember the times when you and I existed
When to you, I was enough, you couldn’t resist it
When, whenever I was in pain
You could see through my fake smile
And you’d wrap your arms around me
And tell me—“this pain will only last a while”
I remember the time, when you were the first person I told anything to
I’d wake up in the morning and think of only you
I went to sleep at night and you were last on my mind
I’d search in my heart and soul and it was you I would find
But those days are long gone, they’ve vanished into thin air
And I look by my side, and only your imprint is there
Confused as I am, and truly hurt too
For now the comfort of your imprint will have to do
Something no one will ever comprehend
