LOVE slipped away

face to face with a love like mines
abundant, passion filled, unconditional and divine
all in one night we became the most best friends
like time stood still to make sure our friendship was found
only one big hurdle to leap
im 23 and he is 50
decades between us and i belong to another love 
but i'ts nothing like what we shared in one night
deep conversation of the past present & future
reminding me of how i believed love should be nurtured
he calls me his sunshine says i brighten his darkesst days
but since im still in love with someone else will this love slip away
he says we'll always be friends no matter come what may
but i know when it comes to love you can't have
 makes it too hard to stay
all i can say is for the short moment in time that we shared
 it was complete bliss
But im also sad to say this  
Love slipped away........
