Mask
All she shows is a face covered with a mask,
A mirage created by the hair, glasses, and hoods,
Tryin to hide,
Hide who she really is,
Leaving everything bottled up inside,
The only key she has to release it, is that blade,
So oftenly used,
What she thinks she hides is so clearly seen,
Longsleeves and wristbands, cover the scars,
Within this young girl is a tragic story of life,
As i watch this girl i see,
Her struggles and fears,
Good times over run by the bad,
I seem to notice with a closer look,
That mask,
It covers my own face.
A mirage created by the hair, glasses, and hoods,
Tryin to hide,
Hide who she really is,
Leaving everything bottled up inside,
The only key she has to release it, is that blade,
So oftenly used,
What she thinks she hides is so clearly seen,
Longsleeves and wristbands, cover the scars,
Within this young girl is a tragic story of life,
As i watch this girl i see,
Her struggles and fears,
Good times over run by the bad,
I seem to notice with a closer look,
That mask,
It covers my own face.
