    Mesmerised

     I see the river flowing like life
    And beautiful patches of blue in the morning skies
    Birds flying defying gravity like
    Light does remove the hold of night...

    I see nature spreading out far and nigh
    Hills hanging so high
    Time passing before our very eyes 
    The very essence of life mesmerise...

    I see mothers granting life to child...
    Child growing up to face the fight
    Taking responsibilities with measure of pride
    The mother, her task completed can finally smile...

    Stop! Wait! my very rhymes bring tears to my eyes
    And I can't seem to get it right
    Like breathe to life, sanity to mind
    Love, the very joy of life I miss.

    An excellent poem, the end caught me off guard as well, but it suits the rest of the poem so well. 10

    Hey, I'm glad you like it, though its a very old poem, i wrote it some three to four years ago... so it's kind of from the archives.

    Wow...such a beautiful poem...I like the way in which at the end you kind of laugh at yourself...it made the poem even more endearing....the flow was fluid and makes me want to read more from you...I look forward to doing so...drop a line when you post the next one...Cher

    Thanks, i haven't written in a long time though, mesmerised goes a long while back, i hope i write one of these days.
