    Minutes of Despair

With just a few minutes, the world was shaken
Some felt fear, some were left heartbreakin.
Some were left with nothing, some were left to grieve
Some had the decency to care, others were just to busy with greed.
Lives were taken, and Lives still unfound
Heads held high as they were lowered in the ground.
A cry of a family whose relative is gone,
Home flow those spirits to Heaven where they belong.
With just a few minutes you hear no sound,
Homes and lives came tumbling down.
A flash of the future can give you a scare,
Faith and hope you'll need in minutes of despair.
Running for survival, and yelling in fear
It was a matter of time we'd come to hear.
This is a time we must come as one,
The start of something new has just begun.
Love and Kind should surface the air,
Greed is no use at a time in minutes of despair.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
