Someone recently said that "we" abandoned you
We did not abandon you...we simply put you in a place
in our hearts, never thinking you would leave it bare
you were always there, often never seen but you were there.

Tears still fall from my eyes everytime I think of
your beautiful smile and laughter, and the kindness of your eyes

They especially fall when I hear your soothing, harmonic, and
caring voice, whether it was in song or in words spoken

They cloud my vision of never seeing you dance, sway and swoon, except in memory
Memories I pray never fade away

My mind lies to my heart to keep it consoled
It can't accept the fact that you're gone

The pain my heart feels will never have true solace
in denial forever it will be...at least until it's time

A poem possibly unfinished

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
