sitting up in my room,
hiding from the only thing,
the monster from within,
if you only knew,
the things you do to me,
im afraid of you,
ill always hide from you,
you might not be real,
you might be made up,
maybe its just a dream,
but it feels real to me,
the pain it feeds on,
the way you look at me,
sometimes i wonder,
was it worth the pain?
I should of known,
im glad i got rid of you,
im not so afraid,
as i use to be,
because im stronger than you,
you dont know how,
to hold your self,
to not let anyone beat you down,
but i defeat you
and you got nothing,
i took myself away,
all your hopes runaway.
spend all my time being afraid,
now im far away.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
