Morning Light

Morning Light

As the soft morning light
Sneaked past the blanket of the night
Birds hushed their songs and
Flowers veiled, like faces with delight.

Electrified by the day that is given
To rejoice that the Savior is risen
In the morning light we are given the right
To rejoice or left alone to fight.

The morning light made the difference
To the promise that He has given
From ideology and philosophy
We overcome spiritual apostacy for eternity.

Onisa.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
