    Ms. Lady

    MS. LADY
    By Derwin L. Jackson

Turned on by the sound of your voice
Taken by the mystique of your love
And it doesn’t really matter who’s on top
Cause we fit together like a hand in glove

You’re the flame of the candle on my darkest day
The sunshine in my life when there’s rain
Like the dew in the morning that covers the Earth
You’re the joy that covers my pain

Sweet as honey - Smooth as butter
A compliment of style, class and grace
Like a tropical rain forest paradise
A delicacy that won’t let me wait

Ms. Lady you’re under my skin
    Like strawberries dipped in chocolate
What did Usher say? “You Got It Bad”
And I ain’t even trying to stop it

You can wear me like that sundress in the Summer time
Gently touching your body in the Summer breeze
Or you can put me on like sun screen just to keep me close
Girl let me put your mind at ease

Now can I buy you a drink?
Cause Ms. Lady you got me tripping
An Apple Martini or Love on the Rocks
Ms. Lady you got me wishing

That I could be the one for you for me
Indulging in that place called ecstasy
Ms. Lady I’ll take my time – Just wait and see
Can I be the one for you and you for me?

Now we’re all up in the spot
Just kicking it – kicking it
    Laid back groovy good times
Getting with it, getting with it

DJ and the Next Level Band
    Funky smooth jazz, grooving, playing
Melodic sugar droplets dripping from your lips
Ms. Lady do you hear what I’m saying?

You be all that girl and so much more
Can I beseech you just one more time?
I’ve got one last wish before the clock strikes twelve
Ms. Lady will you be mine?

Thanks. I'm new at this but I love it. Jazz Pianos is my main thing.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
