    My Dream

        My Dream

In the tranquil obscurity of the night
Where the moon is full and bright
The crickets chirp a peaceful lullaby
And the nightingales fly effortlessly by
Where the river runs soft and calm
And the Earth is cool beneath the palm
The warm breeze whistles through the trees
And the sky full of stars as far as the eye sees
Thats where I dream we are
Without a care near or far
Into one anothers eyes we stare
As with each other love's declaration we share
As we are locked in passions embrace
While laying on grass soft as lace
Where we express our undying affection and love
Beneath all the stars in the sky above
Reaping all that passion has to yield
Lying in a beautiful star blanketed field
Where there are no wrongs just right
Passionately embraced until dawn's early light
    Alas twas only a dream

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
