My Final Breath.

My Final Breath.

As the day slowly turns to night,
I awaken from a lifeless sleep.
The night air as chilling as the looming touch of death,
The last memory, begging you to take my final breath.
Your kiss as deadly as poison,
Your touch as soft as silk,
Has lured my soul into purgatory itself.
Your promise of a life forever after,
A new unlife I must now forever suffer.
No longer shall I look upon the warming light of day,
For within this light, what is left of me will surely fade away.
A creature of the shadows I have now become,
Nowhere to hide,nowhere to run.
The night air as chilling as the looming touch of death,
My last memory, begging you to finally take my final breath.

a sad lament from a soul seeking release. Dark but nicely written. Poetic and with a lyrical flow that holds the readers interest,
