MY GIFT OF THEE
He moves through me from miles away
Whispers my name throughout the day;
With gossamer deft transcends time and space
On the wings of Zephyr, gently kisses my face.
Ah the innocence of newborn love
A journey to heaven on the wings of a dove;
Attraction from the first hello
Fresh as new buds on the weeping willow.
Old heartaches touched by Caduceus’ wand
Must still my heart as it grows ever fond;
How sweet the taste of our first kiss
Cannot turn back, cannot dismiss.
Many nights I’ve spent upon bended knee
Humble and small I sent up my plea;
For years I prayed for my soul’s harmony
The Lord’s answer came with my destiny.
