My Heroes

I met the Love of my life, when I was young.

Thought I was dumb, cause I moved on.

Moved away and thought I was done.

Had others, but they weren't the one's for me.

So I searched and searched until I came back home.

I saw one of my Heroes die in front of me.

Broke my heart, but my Hero did what he was supposed to do, bring his daughter back home.

Then he died and it felt horrible to be alone.

Then I met him again. The man for whom I've taken his last name for life.

Want to thank you both.

One for being my father & the other for being my husband.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
