    My Long Ago Friend

     Many years have come & gone; since I have seen Laci's mom.
    Good times, fun friends, laughter & cheer,
    we once shared many in our yesteryears.
    Always a big smile & something nice to say;
    it's not fair that your life took a turn this way.

    Not a day goes by that I don't thnk of you,
    please GOD give her the strength to make it  thru.
    My heart aches as I read the paper or watch the news;
    it seems your lives have been made public for all to view.

    So - My Long Ago  Friend
    please know that my thoughts are with you, and each time I pray,
    I ask GOD to be with you each & every day.
    I ask him to watch over Laci & Connor too;
    But please take extra special care of you.

    In your struggle to find peace; some kind of normal;
    & yet to remain strong,
    You are the Bravest Of All, you are Laci's mom.

    Omg, I like this one! Very inspirational and everythigng; I like the way you capitalize all the letters of God, even though I do consider myself agnostic to a point. Wow, like, you're really talented! xoxo.

    Thank you so much for your input! It is my first poem. i guess it just came from the heart. Good luck to you! xoxo.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
