My love, My life, My best friend

Oh how I wish words could show you how much I care

I wish you could see I miss you when you aren’t there

I lay in bed waiting for you to come home and hold me

To feel your warm skin against my body

You fall asleep and I slowly wake and turn to gaze at you

I get the urge to put my arms around and hold tight to you

But I sit and listen to the sound of your steady breathing

And wonder if while you sleep, its of me that you are dreaming

The next morning I awake to see your sweet face

You wrap your arms around me and my heart begins to race

Your soft lips kiss my forehead, my nose, and my lips

At this moment I know that its pure bliss

I squeeze you in to a hug that I never want to end

I’m so lucky to have you in my life, and to be in love with my best friend.

    why thank you ;)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
