My Man and Me
Once upon a time,
Not so long ago.
There was this couple,
A man and his wife.
Things for them were normal,
If there is such a thing.
Oh---there were up's and down's,
Come fall, winter, or spring.
But on this particular day,
Something happened!
And as the story goes,
Things were never quite the same.
It began early one Staurday morning,
As the husband and wife awoke.
Said their "Good Mornings",
And went about their work.
I do not know, how it all got started.
But there was a terrible fight!
After the man shouted,
"I AM THE BETTER"
and off they parted!
The wife in a huff,
As she swore under her breath!
I'll show him,
"WHO'S HOT STUFF"!
So she done all her chores,
As a good wife does.
Took a long bubble bath,
After she washed all the floors!
Without a word, she got all dressed.
Walked in front of her man,
Who looked in dismay,
At the lovely wife,
That was walking away.
He knew she was angry,
For things he'd said.
But, trying to remember,
He even scratched his head!
What started this argument?
He did not know.
All he could do,
Was watch her go.
When she was gone,
Those words came back.
The one's he'd "shouted"!
"I'M THE BETTER"!
The one's that hurt her so!
What was he thinking?
When he let those words go!
What in the world
Would he do without her?
For he loved her so!
By now you may have guessed
What this is about,
That no man or woman is
"THE BETTER"
Without the love and support
That makes
MY Man and Me!
