My Thoughts

I am my mother’s child, from her belly I was born and from her heart I will die.

From my soul I burn, in my heart I fly.

My dreams take me away, while my thoughts keep me at bay.

Being able not to swim, I see myself in the ocean; drifting out to a new life or a new end…

I am my mothers child, from her womb; like her in many ways.

My heart beats as I take every step and every step I take my feet get heavier.

Trying to feel shoes my mother never made.

I am her child, from belly I was born and from her heart I will die, if she only sees me from the corner of her eye…

From my soul I burn, cause it feels like satan is getting his turn.

In my heart I fly…flying up in the heaven skies looking down on what I call my life.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
