New Love
We turn our faces to the light
No longer hiding in the darkness.
So unafraid and unashamed
That we can face each others faults.
When the glitter and passion
Of the night before are gone,
I still look at you and am warmed with desire.
When I kiss you good morning,
And your breath smells strong with sleep,
I still want you near me.
When you lay beside me, naked with all your defenses down,
I love you more than ever...
If that's possible.
No longer hiding in the darkness.
So unafraid and unashamed
That we can face each others faults.
When the glitter and passion
Of the night before are gone,
I still look at you and am warmed with desire.
When I kiss you good morning,
And your breath smells strong with sleep,
I still want you near me.
When you lay beside me, naked with all your defenses down,
I love you more than ever...
If that's possible.
