    Night Never Sleeps

Look at the stars in the sky.
Millions of them up so high,
    shine bright in the sky.
    Look at the moon,
    as it brightens the earth.
    Dark clouds approach.
    The night is alive,
feel the chills down your spine.
    Your teeth tremble,
    your heart skips a beat.
    Beware night never sleeps.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
