    Ocean

    The water looked so calm.
The waves were capped with foam.
The rocks were beaten by the sea.
    Against the wind I roam.

The cliffs are high, and growing.
The fall is short and sweet.
    The seagull's scream their song.
    My soul and ocean meet.

The sky is clear and blue.
The sand so warm and white.
    The seagulls hear MY scream.
And now it's black as night.

    It's such a perfect place.
    So beautiful and free.
I want to be in peace forever.
    Please Earth, just swallow me.

This kind of writing takes so much courage. Beautifully written.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
