    Poem Commentary

Ok folks, I am not a poet.  I've never been trained or taught the correct way to write poetry..  But my husbands spider died and my Mom suggested I write a note for my husband to tell him about it.  So I sat down at the computer and in a matter minutes formulated this what I call Poem.  Friendly critques and critsism would be nice too.  Have a great day

    Ode to Spidey

    Ode to Spidey

You came to me in a box

A little plastic sauce container held you

    I was frightened for days

I didn’t understand that you could live like that

    Rob came home from sea

All excited that you came to be

We had no idea whether you were a he or a she

But you were very pretty indeed

You have molted three times with us

Successful as a tarantula should be

But not today as it seems to be

Today is Saturday May 30, 2009

Your skin has been shed but you lie in a ball

Tight as can be and you don’t appear to even crawl

I am sad and frightened of the news I must bring

As you Spidey, bring happiness to my Man

You will stay in our hearts forever and a day

We will talk about you one day

Please know that you were loved and today is a sad day

As tears fall from my face, you are in Webb of Heaven

Thank you for all of the joy you have brought to our lives

I wish you had stayed longer

It would had been a great surprise

Rest in Peace Spidey, We Love You Forever
