    On Life's Journey

    ON LIFE’S JOURNEY

     

    When I finally feel whole, incompleteness steps in

    Decided my life’s journey

    Didn’t prepare for the road bumps

    Blocks

    Detours

     

    I’m not lost

    Only confused

    A little afraid

    Pondering if I need to ask for directions

    North, South, East or West

     

    Where do I go……….

     

    Do I follow my mind

    Signals to the eyes

    Ears

    Nose

    Nerves

     

    Do I follow my heart

    Beating

    Blood pumping

    Rhythm

    Pressure, high or low

     

    Where do I go……….

     

    Is it suppose to be this hard

    Maybe I’m not trying enough

    Or trying too much

    Am I dreaming too big

    Possess the will and not the drive

     

    On life’s journey

    But…have I found me

    So many things to bury

    Treasures to find

    Where do I go……….

     

    On life’s journey!!

    I LOVE YOUR WORK BECAUSE ON LIFE'S JOURNEY THERE ARE SO MANY 'UPS' AND 'DOWNS' THAT AT TIMES IT ALL BECOMES COMPLICATIONS AND CHALLENGES. GREAT WORK!!!

    I think all art asks a question. It demands(if its good) some response from the reader, writer. 'Where do I go' is one of lifes most profound questions, and a place that we ALL find ourselves, at one time, or another. I dug your poem, Anitra. I'll read more. Peace.....Patrick

    Your poem is a little confusing. But I get what you are saying. When you say "where do I go" it has suspense thrown in to make it interesting.

    yes, its confusing because I am, it says: "I'm not lost, only confused"...thanks for the comment
