One Last Cry
I don't know what you're doing,
or if you even care.
He smiled and kissed me softly,
I'd call, but you're not there.
You don't know his laughter,
or how he likes to play.
I wish that you could watch him,
as he changes everyday.
It makes me sick to think of you,
and who is in your bed.
I wonder how you got this way,
and what goes through your head.
I'm sure he doesn't miss you.
He doesn't know your scent.
but, Mommy's sad,
she cries for you,
and wonders where you went.
You're not the same.
It looks like you,
but, what's left is just a shell.
I hope that you'll remember me,
and how in love we fell.
It's over now,
the wounds run deep.
I have to say goodbye.
It's time that I be movin' on.
This is my one last cry.
or if you even care.
He smiled and kissed me softly,
I'd call, but you're not there.
You don't know his laughter,
or how he likes to play.
I wish that you could watch him,
as he changes everyday.
It makes me sick to think of you,
and who is in your bed.
I wonder how you got this way,
and what goes through your head.
I'm sure he doesn't miss you.
He doesn't know your scent.
but, Mommy's sad,
she cries for you,
and wonders where you went.
You're not the same.
It looks like you,
but, what's left is just a shell.
I hope that you'll remember me,
and how in love we fell.
It's over now,
the wounds run deep.
I have to say goodbye.
It's time that I be movin' on.
This is my one last cry.
