One Way Or Another
I have seen things
Of different ground
A new way of hearing
These happy sounds
A simple gift given
That means the world
A simple gift of love
Worth more than words
I've seen these, for sure
As an observer of such
I see how they care
And I've seen too much
So much pain, I feel
Whenever I see these things
When will I have the chance
To have what friendship brings?
No love, No more
Not even a care
I guess that's life, huh?
Need I even dare?
Shall I try, all I can
To bring myself up?
And be filled with empty hopes
And find someone to trust?
I'll question myself "Why?
Why go through all this?
Why hide all the rage?
Is there something amiss?"
Is it I alone who suffers
Loneliness beyond hope?
Sadness; far more than before
More than one can cope?
I'll stop my ranting
And stay silent once more
But I won't be silent for long
But for now, close this door
"I have to be alone..."
An excuse once again
Oh well, do not mind
My pain will never end
It's my pain, not yours
So why try to bother?
You'll forget me anyway
One way or another...
Of different ground
A new way of hearing
These happy sounds
A simple gift given
That means the world
A simple gift of love
Worth more than words
I've seen these, for sure
As an observer of such
