Onward
Onward i go, into the treesled by rope, bound on my knees
to a sled, pulled by a horse
onward, onward through the gorse
three days have past my throat is partched
but onward still, my captor did march
to realize i was alone
onward, onward, never to return
Onward through the night and day
but still upon my sled did i lay
for bound by rope and blinded still
Onward, onward, my broken will
Onward through the desert scene
my skull has now been picked clean
but still my captor leads on
the faithful horse, onward, leads on
Through the desert through the grass
faithful horse came home at last
onward, onward to my keep
but in deaths grasp i still sleep
Onward, onward, oh sweet defeat.
