PAINFUL LOSSES
A loss most times,
Calls for a reflection;
On whom we are,
Or whatever we can become.
It’s a lot more than the loss
but an insight into the depth,
for its course fully run.
Above the shadows,
It could be a call for echoes
That is never seen.
Indeed hard to believe,
that a slamming door
On a great opportunity
Could be too great a price,
to be paid for being who you are.
Stares of past woes,
Shadows of the present
Hypocrisies not shown.
Pants of the ‘fear of loss’ so terrible
Phony but true, in deep pains.
Tears streams so lonely
Unfolds regrets in its scores;
On what you should have been,
Denied, and never to be.
