    Pandora

A ghost of a whisper hovers in the silence
    Tantalizing in it's simplicity
    Circling around my mind
Again and again, a resounding echo
Opening a Pandora's box of emotion
    Stealing my breath away
Luring my soul to respond in kind
A glimpse of treasure in the hidden recesses of the day
    Powerful in it's fragility
A sparkle in the glow of the fading light

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
