    Patience

She feels the pattern coming on,
    Turning her head,
    She hates the feelings-
    The anticipation, the confusion.

    She knows what she wants,
    She wants him to appear-
It's the waiting that hurts her every time.

He pushed away when she pulled-
    It was too easy.

Frightened is she that he won't come to her,
    Her chances slim.

The love she feels yearns in her,
    Her heart accepting the bad.
She gives her all, it all unwanted.

Destiny brings a chance to enhance her-
    Has she met the answer?

    They call it Patience.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
