    patience

    patience is a virtue
i was once told good things,
    good friends even good people
never grow old in your mind,
    heart or soul.
why does it take a blunt force trauma
for people to see through drama
    that another mothafuka
    took them through
should i treat you like shit
    and be like them to.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
