    Paw Paw

he was a man tall and thin
remember the dark complexion of his skin
he was born march 1st of 1922
him and maw-maws love was so true
strong affirmative man i woould say so
he came from the town of mankato
minnosota where it was so cold
this man was so strong and bold
went to war at just 19
it was at this time he met his queen
in 1949 the knot was tied
i know for sure maw-maw cried
    in 1950 childern started coming
but he was a real man never running
they had 6 kids 1 after the other
the second born was my mother
he worked and worked to make the pay
busted his butt 16 hours a day
    he finally retired in 1975
but he said he didnt feel alive
took up fishing this and that
and he always wore a hat
the grandkids came one by one
said he had never had such fun
it was so hard april 3rd of 94
was the day i woould see paw-paw no more

another... very very touchy one. i cried...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
