Poem Commentary

Peace brings in its wake happiness, harmony and great joy. Let us all live in peace.

Peace

RIP… is that the end

Where is peace?

I searched everywhere

Inside and outside

Went to all places of worship

To find peace

Where is peace?

I searched everywhere

Met spiritual gurus

No Inner Peace without Outer peace

I was told

Where is outer peace?

Everywhere deceit, blood and gore

Everyday fighting for rights,

Good and evil

What is in store?

But where is peace to find.

Does killing make one right?

Does inflicting pain make one mighty?

Does bringing misery make one strong?

Where is peace in all?

Give peace a chance while we live

Not when we rest for eternity

Let there be peace everywhere

The outer peace

So that I find the inner peace

While I am still alive

We will have peace. People like you Shrin will demand push pull and drag it from the darkness until it shines....You may ache struggle people may die. You will bring peace and You will find inner peace..A wonderful writing..

I really think that you are very brave Shrin. I know your country. I know what this means. I know that my country is in war... I know that there are people over in the Middle East fighting -I ask myself.... why? Why? did we put our soldiers in harm's way? I agree Shrin, with everything you say here. And I wish that I could give you a big hug and just say I understand.

Peace has to start from within. Excellent write 10 from me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
