    PENDULUM

My Best friend the pen remembers dates
    Like hard times in ‘98
When I was planning great escapes
Reminiscing on how the weak loved to hate
Days in ’99 flashback in my mind
    As my pen wrote....
    …Of Millenniums
    Shell shocked in shot houses
    Daydreaming of living in condominiums
    Then the New Millennium
    A moderate reset
As my pen continued to eject…ink
2001 must have been the brink
    The lights were disconnected
So just the candles and my pen
And cigarette ashes in the sink
    No brain but it thinks
    Of visions so rare
    So debonair
Fiddling on the roof of my mind
    Portraying the written Fred Astaire
    Dancing in the New Year
What a great way to start 2002
    I know he’s written at least 2003
    Analogies mythologies factualisms and poems
A true ink storm with no rain
    Just pain
    Just pain
He’s even written of open window panes
Thought about jumping out of windows
    As he pleaded insane
    Because he was guilty
Guilty of insults and falsified truths
    Also known as the “One”
    Who can give written proof
    By putting it in writing
Guilty of sightings in my journal
See my pen remembers hard times
    As times remember my pen
Like when I went from etching biblical scriptures
To wrapping rhythmic lines of sin
    Rapping
Writing of lost love as he was tapping
    Into my innermost thoughts
At times he wants to hurl from sickness
    Better times he recalls
As he bore witness to 110% mental and physical fitness
    With Such finesse
    But he never was monogamous
He always needed to undress or address
    More than one situation
Couldn’t commit to just one sheet of paper
    Has even written capers
Captured the moments with motivational momentum
    I don’t care what’s in ‘em
    Red blue or black ink
    As long as he thinks
    And remains thoughtful
My pen recalls times when I became forgotful
    Wasn't concerned about within
So of course I forgot my pen
Forgot that he could release thoughts
    And inspire inspiration
    See I without my pen
Is like some type of unwritten segregation
Now can you feel my revelation
    Like the B-I-B-L-E
Pen Heaven will be his final destination
    Because of his Angelic anatomy
You won’t find he without me
Wyatt Erp and the Sundance Kid
He's even written of hurts from back when
I was an under the sun dancing kid
Gonna pass his concepts on to my kids
    Because I won’t live forever
    I Could be right
    Or I could be wrong
But no matter how long I live
    The legacy of my pen
    Will live on and on.
    My best friend... The Pen

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
