ABOUT THE ARTIST
Richard Elekwa is one of Nigeria’s emerging artists/poet. His understanding of beauty and creative assertion has placed him in a strategic location in the poetic landscape. He started developing interest in poetry at a very young age. He grew to embrace the art and to follow the tracks of great masters like wole soyinka, . As he went through primary and secondary education, his knowledge of poetry metamorphosed from one level to the other until finally he had a serious urge to become a creative writer.
Richard has written lots of poems over the years, most of his poems are inspired by his art works or vice versa, they have deep mystical yet simplified romantic undertones that expresses his mood(s) or personality at any given time or place.
