Polishing Stones
just movement like spring water on a creekbed;polishing stones,
and I marvel at how this reality can bring me to
different places and times so damned quickly!
It brings me to that fractured landscape of dreams
I had abandoned years ago...
either the cost was too much or even too little,
or the content too trivial...or too truthful...
but abandoned like no deposit bottles,
devoid of merit or value, yet still attractive.
It brings me to the meandering shores of an ocean
of fearings and doubts
I had liberated years ago...
either they worked too well, or too poorly...
or they were but shards of a mirror
that showed me bits of a self better left ignored...
but I'd have liberated them regardless.
Nothing amounts to anything anymore...
not in any world I choose at least-
no pattern-no design- No wonder I wander-
moving about like spring water on a creekbed,
polishing stones...
