    PRISONER

Words from the heart long to be freed
But are bound within the confines of the lips
Even when liberating to the soul
How ironic! The emancipator struggles to be unleashed!
A predicament if you ask me...

The attempt to break out...all to no avail
    Suppression of thought...overcrowding...pressure mounts
It reaches its climax... with no prior notice, it begins to release
A fatal release if you ask me ...
    ...Detrimental to its target

    The sudden outburtst...seething with rage
A cry for help if you ask me
For none can comprehend its depth
None can defend it (except itself)
    None can fathom its worth

Ask me...I say I'm a prisoner of my words!

Yes, but the freedom of releasing your words is like being set free. You may only have one work posted so far yet it's a great foreshadowing of many more great works to come from you. Great write.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
