    Redeemed

When I look back I think of your creation

    No understanding, no idea

You placed me in a hurting nation

Alive in the world but full of fear

When I look back I think of your creation

    Healthy body, healthy mind

Brought up with a solid foundation

But compared with the others I felt left behind

When I look back I think of your creation

Full of laughter, full of a 'sense' of joy

Sacrificed for me was a high standard of education

But plagued by the feeling of being nothing but coy

When I look back I think of your creation

Surrounded by friends, surrounded by love

Blessed with everything I needed but motivation

The indescribable feeling of needing something more from above

When I look back at your creation

I found new experiences, new environments

Living by the worlds standards without hesitation

    But always leading to disappointments

When I look back at your creation

I see you had an idea, a plan

Even though it was a one way conversation

You were holding me so close like no other can

When I look back at your creation

You gave me chance after chance

I finally reached out my arms to my creator

You showed me the truth not just of love but of divine romance

When I look now at your creation

I see not a boy but a redeemed man

    Eager to change a nation

A saviour that from the start had for me a life plan

When I look now at your creation

I see an understanding of purpose and truth

Seeking more of you each day in desperation

The cross where you died for me is the living proof

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
